The MC1330A is an integrated circuit featuring very linear video characteristics and wide bandwidth. MC1330A is designed for color and monochrome television receivers, replacing the third IF, detector, video buffer and AFC buffer. There are some features as follows. First is conversion gain which is 33 dB (Typ). The second is excellent differential phase and gain. Then is high rejection of IF carrier feedthrough. Next is high video output which is 8.0 V(p-p). The fifth is fully balanced detector. The sixth is output temperature compensated. The last one is improved version of the MC1330.
What comes next is about the maximum ratings of MC1330A. The power supply voltage is 24 Vdc. The DC video output current is 5.0 mAdc and the DC AFT output current is 2.0 mAdc. The junction temperature is 150. The operating ambient temperature range is from 0 to 75. The storage temperature range is from -65 to +150.
The following is about the electrical characteristics of MC1330A (VCC=+20 Vdc, Q=40, fc=45.75 MHz, TA=+25, unless otherwise noted). The minimum zero signal DC output voltage is 7.0 Vdc and the maximum is 8.7 Vdc at pin 4. The minimum supply current is 11 mA, the typical is 17.5 mA and the maximum is 24 mA at pin 5,6. The typical maximum signal DC output voltage is 0 Vdc and the maximum is 0.5 Vdc at pin 4. The minimum conversion gain for 1.0 Vp-p output (30% modulation) is 25 mVrms, the typical is 36 mVrms and the maximum is 65 mVrms at pin 7. The minimum AFT buffer output at carrier frequency is 300 mVp-p, the typical is 475 mVp-p and the maximum is 650 mVp-p.
