The MC13146 is designed as one kind of low power integrated transmitter for ISM band applications. It features a 50 linear Mixer with linearity control, voltage controlled oscillator, divide by 64/65 dual modulus prescaler and exciter. Together with the receiver chip (MC13145) and the baseband chip (MC33410), a complete 900MHz cordless phone system can be implemented. MC13146 may be used in applications within 2GHz since its RF bandwidth is greater than 2.4GHz.
MC13146 has ten features. (1)Low distortion exciter: Pout_1 dB compression point=8dBm. (2)HIgh mixer linearity: IIP3=10dBm. (3)50 mixer input impedance. (4)Differential open collector mixer output. (5)20dB power conversion gain. (6)Low power 64/65 dual modulus prescaler (MC12054 type). (7)2.7 to 6.5V operation, low current drain (25mA at 2.0GHz). (8)Powerdown mode: <1.0mA. (9)2.4GHz RF bandwidth. (10)1.8GHz IF bandwidth. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of MC13146 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its power supply voltage would be 7V. (2)Its junction temperature would be 150°C. (3)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
