MAX236CWG-TG068

The MAX236CWG-TG068 is one member of the MAX236CWG family which designed as the +5V-powered, multichannel RS-232 drivers/receivers. This device can be used in (1)portable computers; (2)low-power modems; (3)interface translation; (4)battery-powered RS-232 systems; (5)multidrop RS-232 networks. This device has separate receiver and transmitter-enable controls and is pin compatible with the MAX232A, differing only in that RS-232 cable fault protection is removed on one of the two receiver inputs.

The MAX236CWG-TG068 features transmitter and receiver enable controls, these receivers have three modes of operation:full-speed receive (normal active)‚ three-state (disabled)‚ and lowpower receive (enabled receivers continue to function at lower data rates). These transmitters have two modes of operation: full-speed transmit (normal active) and three-state (disabled).
