The MAX17435 is designed as one kind of high-frequency, low-cost SMBus charger device that can be used in wide range of applications such as (1)Notebook Computers; (2)PDAs and Mobile Communicators; (3)2- to 4- Li+ Cell Battery-Powered Devices. Also this device is available in a small, 4mm x 4mm x 0.75mm, 24-pin, lead-free TQFN package. An evaluation kit is available.

Features of the MAX17435 are:(1)Programmable Charge Current < 5A; (2)Automatic System Power Source Selection with n-Channel MOSFET; (3)Internal Boost Diode; (4)+8V to +26V Input Voltage Range; (5)Adjustable Battery Voltage (4.2V to 4.4V/Cell); (6)Analog/PWM Adjustable Charge-Current Setting; (7)+/-0.4% Accurate Charge Voltage; (8)+/-2.5% Accurate Input-Current Limiting; (9)+/-3% Accurate Charge Current; (10)Single-Point Compensation.

The absolute maximum ratings of the MAX17435 can be summarized as:(1)Lead Temperature (soldering, 10s): 300°C;(2)Junction Temperature Range: +150°C;(3)Storage Temperature Range: -60°C to +150°C;(4)Operating Temperature Range: -40°C to +85°C;(5)PGND to AGND: -0.3V to +0.3V;(6)DLO to PGND: -0.3V to (VLDO + 0.3V).
