The MAX1553EVKIT is a fully assembled and tested circuit board with two complete circuits for evaluating the MAX1553EVKIT and MAX1554 white LED step-up converters. The MAX1553EVKIT circuit operates from 2.7V to 5.5V and delivers an adjustable 0 to 20mA to drive up to six white LEDs connected in series. The MAX1554 circuit operates from 3.15V to 5.5V and delivers an adjustable 0 to 20mA for driving up to 10 white LEDs in series.

The circuit jumper functions of the MAX1553EVKIT can be summarized as:(1):the junmper is JU1,the function is connects VCC to BRT when no separate BRT control signal is used,the default setting is shorted;(2):the junmper is JU2,the function is EN control. jumper pin 1 to pin 2 for shutdown. jumper pin 2 to pin 3 for enable,the default setting is jumper 2 to 3. enabled;(3):the junmper is JU3,the function is bypasses two of the six LEDs for four LED testing,the default setting is open. six LED operation;(4):the junmper is JU4,the function is connects on-board LEDs. cut the PC board trace to power other LEDs,the default setting is shorted for on-board LEDs;(5):the junmper is JU5,the function is the PC board trace connects VCC to IN for single-supply operation cut the trace to separately power VCC and IN,the default setting is shorted for single-supply operation.
