DescriptionThe LTC3700EMS is one member of the LTC3700 family which is designed as the constant frequency step-down DC/DC controller with LDO regulator that can be used in (1)notebook computers; (2)portable instruments; (3)one or two Li-Ion battery-powered applications. This device provides 150mA of output current through its internal P-channel MOSFET pass device and is protected by both current limit and thermal shutdown circuits.
Features of the LTC3700EMS are:(1)dual output regulator in tiny 10-pin MSOP; (2)high efficiency: up to 94%; (3)wide VIN range: 2.65V to 9.8V; (4)constant frequency 550kHz operation; (5)high output currents easily achieved; (6)burst mode operation at light load; (7)low dropout: 100% duty cycle; (8)150mA LDO with current limit and thermal shutdown protection; (9)current mode operation for excellent line and load transient response; (10)0.8V reference allows low output voltages; (11)low quiescent current: 260mA total; (12)shutdown mode draws only 10uA supply current; (13)common power good output for both supplies.
