DescriptionThe LTC1703CG is one member of the LTC1703 family which is designed as the dual 550kHz synchronous 5V-to-2.x/1.xV switching regulator controllers with VID. This device can be used in (1)microprocessor core/IO supplies; (2)multiple logic supply generator; (3)distributed power applications; (4)high efficiency power conversion. Also it uses a constant-frequency, true PWM design switching at 550kHz, minimizing external component size and cost and maximizing load transient performance.
Features of the LTC1703CG are:(1)two independent controllers in one package; (2)LTC1703 side 1 output is compliant with the intel mobile VID specificat-ion; (3)two sides run out-of-phase to minimize CIN; (4)all N-channel external MOSFET architecture; (5)no external current sense resistor; (6)excellent output regulation: 1% initial accuracy over line and load; (7)550kHz switching frequency minimizes external component size; (8)1A to >20A output current per channel; (9)390% efficiency over wide load current range; (10)quiescent current drops below 100mA in shutdown; (11)small SSOP packages.
