The LTC1665CGN is one member of the LTC1665 family which is designed as the 8-bit digital-to-analog converter that can be used in (1)mobile communica-tions; (2)digitally controlled amplifiers and attenuators; (3)portable battery-powered instruments; (4)automatic calibration for manufacturing; (5)remote industrial devices.

Features of the LTC1665CGN are:(1)tiny: 8 DACs in the board space of an SO-8; (2)ultralow power: 56mA per DAC plus 1mA sleep mode for extended battery life; (3)wide 2.7V to 5.5V supply range; (4)restores last dac setting after sleep; (5)asynchronous CLR function; (6)rail-to-rail voltage outputs drive 1000pF; (7)reference range includes supply for ratiometric 0V-to-Vcc output; (8)3-wire serial interface with schmitt trigger inputs and daisy-chain capability; (9)differential nonlinearity:</=±0.5LSB max; (10)pin compatible with the 10-bit LTC1660.
