Description

The LTC1334CSW is one member of the LTC1334 family which is designed as the single 5V RS232/RS485 multiprotocol transceiver that can be used in (1)low power RS485/RS422/RS232/EIA562 interface; (2)software-selectable multiprotocol interface port; (3)cable repeaters; (4)level translators.

Features of the LTC1334CSW are:(1)four RS232 transceivers or two RS485 transceivers on one chip; (2)operates from a single 5V supply; (3)withstands repeated ±10kV ESD pulses; (4)uses small charge pump capacitors: 0.1mF; (5)low supply current: 8mA typical; (6)10mA supply current in shutdown; (7)self-testing capability in loopback mode; (8)power-up/down glitch-free outputs; (9)driver maintains high impedance in three-state, shutdown or with power off; (10)thermal shutdown protection; (11)receiver inputs can withstand ±25V.
