DescriptionThe LT1769CGN is designed as one kind of constant-current/constant-voltage 2A battery charger with input current limiting that belongs to the LT1769 family. It can be used in switching regulators with precision current limit and chargers for NiCd, NiMH, lead-Acid, lithium rechargeable batteries.
Features of the LT1769CGN are:(1)simple design to charge NiCd, NiMH and Lithium rechargeable batteries-charging current programmed by resistors or DAC; (2)adapter current limit allows maximum possible charging current during system use; (3)precision 0.5% accuracy for voltage mode charging; (4)high efficiency current mode PWM with 3A internal switch; (5)5% charging current accuracy; (6)adjustable undervoltage lockout; (7)automatic shutdown when AC adapter is removed; (8)low reverse battery drain current: 3mA; (9)current sensing can be at either terminal of the battery; (10)charging current soft start; (11)shutdown control; (12)available in 28-lead narrow SSOP package.
