The LM325A is designed as polarity tracking regulator to provide balanced positive and negative output voltages at current up to 100mA, the devices are set for +/-15V and +/-12V outputs respectively.
LM325A has eight features. (1)+/-12V and +/-12V tracking outputs. (2)Output current to 100mA. (3)Output voltage balanced to within 1%. (4)Line and load regulation of 0.06%. (5)Internal thermal overload protection. (6)Standby current drain of 3mA. (7)Externally adjustable current limit. (8)Internal current limit. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of LM325A have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its input voltage would be +/-30V. (2)Its forced Vo+ would be min -0.5V. (3)Its forced Vo- would be max +0.5V. (4)Its power dissipation would be Pmax. (5)Its output short-circuit duration would be continuous. (6)Its operating free temperature range would be from 0°C to +70°C. (7)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C. (8)Its lead temperature soldering 10 sec would be 300°C.
