LM2679S-ADJ

The LM2679S-ADJ is one member of the LM2679 family which is designed as the SIMPLE SWITCHER power converter high efficiency 5 A step-down voltage regulator that can be used in (1)simple to design, high efficiency (>90%) step-down switching regulators; (2)efficient system pre-regulator for linear voltage regulators; (3)battery chargers. This device also has built in thermal shutdown and resistor programmable current limit of the power MOSFET switch to protect the device and load circuitry under fault conditions.
 
Features of the LM2679S-ADJ are:(1)efficiency up to 92%; (2)simple and easy to design with (using off-the-shelf external components); (3)resistor programmable peak current limit over a range of 2A to 5A.; (4)0.15 DMOS output switch; (5)3.3V, 5V and 12V fixed output and adjustable (1.2V to 37V ) versions; (6)±2% maximum output tolerance over full line and load conditions; (7)wide input voltage range: 8V to 40V; (8)260 KHz fixed frequency internal oscillator; (9)softstart capability; (10)thermal shutdown and current limit protection; (11)TTL shutdown capability, low power standby mode.
