The LM2576BT is designed as monolithic integrated circuit which provide all the active functions for a step-down (buck) switching regulator. Fixed versions are available with a 3.3V, 5V or 12V fixed output. Adjustable versions have an output voltage range from 1.23V to 37V. Both versions are capable of driving a 3A load with excellent line and load regulation.
LM2576BT has twelve features. (1)3.3V, 5V, 12V and adjustable output versions. (2)Voltage over specified line and load conditions fixed version +/-3% max output voltage and adjustable version +/-2% max feedback voltage. (3)Guaranteen 3A output current. (4)Wide input voltage range is 4V to 40V. (5)Its wide output voltage range would be from 1.23V to 37V. (6)Requires only 4 external components. (7)52kHz fixed frequency internal oscillator. (8)Low power standby mode Iq typically <200uA. (9)80% efficiency (adjustable version typically >80%). (10)Uses readily available standard inductors. (11)Thermal shutdown and current limit protection. (12)100% electrical thermal limit burn-in. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of LM2576BT have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its maximum supply voltage would be 45V. (2)Its ON/OFF pin input voltage would be from -0.3V to +40V. (3)Its output voltage to ground steady state would be -1V. (4)Its power dissipation would be internally limited. (5)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C. (6)Its minimum ESD rating would be 2kV and would be 1kV for FB pin. (7)Its lead temperature soldering 10sec would be 260°C. (8)Its maximum junction temperature would be 150°C.
