The LM2575SX-5.0 is one member of the LM2575S family which is designed as the simple switcher 1A step-down voltage regulator that can be used in (1)simple high-efficiency step-down (buck) regulator; (2)efficient pre-regulator for linear regulators; (3)on-card switching regulators; (4)positive to negative converter (buck-boost). And this device is substantially reduces the size of the heat sink, and in many cases no heat sink is required.
