The LM237KC is designed as one kind of adjustable 3-terminal negative-voltage regulators capable of supplying in excess of -1.5A over an output voltage range of -1.2V to -37V. It is exceptionally easy to use, requiring only two external resistors to set the output voltage and one output capacitor for frequency compensation.
LM237KC has seven features. (1)Output voltage range adjustable from -1.2V to -37V. (2)Output current capability of 1.5A max. (3)Input regulation typically 0.01% per input-voltage change. (4)Output regulation typically 0.3%. (5)Peak output current constant over temperature range of regulator. (6)Ripple rejection typically 77dB. (7)Direct replacement for industry-standard LM237 and LM337. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of LM237KC have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its input to output differential voltage would be -40V. (2)Its operating virtual junction temperature would be 150°C. (3)Its lead temperature 1.6mm (1/16inch) from case for 10 seconds would be 260°C. (4)Its lead temperature 1.6mm (1/16 inch) from case for 10 seconds would be 260°C. (5)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
