The LM13700N is designed as one kind of dual operational transconductance amplifiers with linearizing diodes and buffers which consists of two current controlled transconductance amplifiers, each with differential inputs and a push-pull output. The two amplifiers share common supplies but otherwise operate independently.
LM13700N has six features. (1)gm adjustable over 6 decades. (2)Excellent gm linearity. (3)Excellent matching between amplifiers. (4)Linearizing diodes. (5)High impedance buffers. (6)High output signal-to-noise ratio. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of LM13700N have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its supply voltage would be 36Vdc or +/-18V. (2)Its power dissipation would be 570mW. (3)Its differential input voltage would be +/-5V. (4)Its diode bias current would be 2mA. (5)Its amplifier bias current would be 2mA. (6)Its output short circuit duration would be continuous. (7)Its buffer output current would be 20mA. (8)Its operating temperature range would be from 0°C to 70°C. (9)Its DC input voltage would be +Vs to -Vs.
