The LCDP1511D is a dual line protector which protects subscriber line interface circuits (SLIC) against transient overvoltages.
Positive overvoltages are clamped with diodes towards GND, while negative overvoltages are suppressed by thyristors connected to GND. The breakdown voltage of the thyristors is determined by the voltage applied to the gate, generally -Vbat.
