The LB1291 has been designed for interfacing between low level digital device and flirescent display tubes. Its 8-channnel independent darlington output stage is applied for digit or segment drivers. Meanwhile, with pull-down equivalent resistors, no externally connected resisters are requires for ghost prevention.while the input voltage is at high leel, the output gets activated.
The LB1291 has the following features:(1)8-channel independent darlington driver;(2)capable of driving digits or segmets;(3)on-chip sinl current circuit for pull-down;(4)55V/30mA rating.
LB1291 also has the following absolute maximum ratings and allowable operating ranges. absolute maximum ratings:(1):Maximum supply voltage is0.3 V to+55 V;(2):output supply voltage is -0.3 V to VCC V;(3): input supply voltage is -0.3 V to 20.0 V;(4)maximum output current is 30 mA;(5)allowable power dissipation is 1.13W;(6) operating temperature is -20 to 75;(7):storage temperature is -40 to +150.allowable operating con-ditions:(1): supply voltage is 4.75V to 55 V; (2):input high level voltage is +4 V to 20 V when Iout is -30mA;(3)input low level voltage is -0.3V to 0.3V.It also has some electrical characteristics(Ta is 25 and VCC is 55 V):(1):current dissipation is 6.0 mA typ and 10 mA max of all inputs when VIN is 10V;(2) output voltage is VCC-2 V min and VCc-1.6 typ when VIN is 10 V and Iout is -30 mA;(3):output leakage current is -30 min uA when VIN is 0.3 V and V OUT is 0.5 MA;(4)pull-down current is 0.2 mA min,0.4 mA typ and 1 mA max when Vout is VCC;(5)input current is 0.6 mA min,1 mA typ and 1.4 mA max when VIN is 20 V.
