The LB1274 is designed as a 6-unit darlington transistor array with NPN transistors. This IC is ideal for driving printers, replays and lamps. Protective diodes guard against negative inputs. Thus it has advantages when designing circuits to drive pronter-calculators that use display tubes, cash registers and the like.
LB1274 has four features. (1)Ideal for 18-digit printers (because it has 6 units). (2)Protective diodes are incorporated against negative inputs which would be from -40V to 20V. (3)Ideal for printers with 85mA load current which would be max 100mA DC. (4)Spark killer diodes accommodate L-loads. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of LB1274 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its output supply voltage would be from -0.3V to 22V. (2)Its input supply voltage would be from -40V to 20V. (3)Its pin-8 supply voltage would be from -0.3V to +20V. (4)Its output inflow current would be from 0 to 100mA. (5)Its instantaneous output inflow current would be from 0 to 150mA. (6)Its spark killer diode forward current would be from 0 to 150mA. (7)Its GND-pin outflow current would be from -700mA to 0mA. (8)Its pin-8 instantaneous outflow current would be from -500mA to 0. (9)Its allowable power dissipation would be 1.15W. (10)Its junction temperature would be 125°C. (11)Its operating ambient temperature range would be from -20°C to 80°C. (12)Its storage ambient temperature range would be from -40°C to 125°C.
