NOTES:
1. VDD and VLCD are based on VSS = 0V.
2. Voltages V0 V1 V2 V3 V4 VSS must always be satisfied.(VLCD = V0 VSS)
3. If supply voltage exceeds its absolute maximum range, this LSI may be damaged permanently. It is desirable to use this LSI under electrical characteristic conditions during general operation. Otherwise, this LSI may malfunction or reduced LSI reliability may result.

The KS0717 is a driver & controller LSI for graphic dot-matrix liquid crystal display systems. It contains 55 common and 100 segment driver circuits. This chip is connected directly to a microprocessor, accepts serial or 8- bit parallel display data and stores in an on-chip display data RAM of 65 x 100 bits. It provides a high-flexible display section due to 1-to-1 correspondence between on-chip display data RAM bits and LCD panel pixels. And it performs display data RAM  ead/write operation with no external operating clock to minimize power consumption. In addition, because it contains power supply circuits necessary to drive liquid crystal, KS0717 is possible to make a display system with the fewest  omponents.
