The KIA6419 is designed as one kind of low power audio amplifier integrated circuit intended for telephone applications, such as in speakerphones. It provides differential speaker outputs to maximize output swing at low supply voltage (2.0 volts minimum). A chip disable pin permits powering down and / or muting the input signal. This device is also available in a standard 8-pin DIP or a surface mount package.
Features of the KIA6419 are:(1)wide operating supply voltage range (2 to 16 volts) - allows telephone line powered applications;(2)low quiescent supply current 2.0 mA typical for battery powered applications;(3)chip disable input to power down the IC;(4)low power-down quiescent current;(5)requires few external component;(6)gain adjustable from 0 dB to 46 dB for voice band;(7)low total harmonic distortion (0.5% typical).
The absolute maximum ratings of the KIA6419 can be summarized as:(1)supply voltage: -1.0 to 18 Vdc;(2)maximum output current at VO1, VO2: +250 mA;(3)maximum voltage @ Vin, FC1, FC2, CD: -1.0 to Vcc+1.0 Vdc;(4)operating temperature: -20 to +70 ;(5)junction temperature: -55 to +140 .
