The ISD1100 is designed as single chip voice record/ playback device 10- and 12-second durations. The CMOS devices include an on-chip oscillator, microphone preamplifier, automatic gain control, antialiasing filter, smoothing filter and speaker amplifier. A minimum record/ playback subsystem can be configured with a microphone, a speaker, several passives, two push-buttons and a power source.

Some absolute maximum ratings of ISD1100 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its junction temperature would be 150°C. (2)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C. (3)Its voltage applied to any pad would be from Vss-0.3V to Vcc+0.3V. (4)Its voltage applied to any pad (input current limited to +/-20mA) would be from Vss-1.0V to Vcc+1.0V. (5)Its Vcc-Vss would be from -0.3V to +7.0V. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
Also some DC characteristics of ISD1100 are concluded as follow. (1)Its input low voltage would be max 0.8V. (2)Its input high voltage would be min 2.4V. (3)Its output low voltage would be max 0.4V.
