ICL7129A

The ICL7129A is designed as a high precision monolithic 4-1/2 digit A/D converter that directly drives a multiplexed liquid crystal display.

The features of the ICL7129A. The first one is ± 19999 count resolution. The second one is onboard multiplexed LCD display driver 4-1/2 digits, 4 decimal points, 3 annunciators. The third one is instant continuity detector. The fourth one is low battery detector and indicator. The fifth one is overrange / underrange outputs. The sixth one is precise 10:1 range select. The seventh one is 10uV resolution. The eighth one is significantly improved ESD protection. The ninth one is monolithic, low power CMOS design. The tenth one is eliminates need for compensation capacitor. That are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of the ICL7129A have been concluded into several points as follow. The first one is about its supply voltage which would be 15V. The second one is about its reference voltage which would be V+ to V-. The third one is about its Vdisp which would be from V+ to DGND - 0.3V. The fourth one is about its digital inputs pins 1, 2, 19, 20, 21, 22, 27, 37, 38, 39, 40 which would be from DGND to V+. The fifth one is about its analog inputs pins 25, 29, 30 which would be V+ to V-. The sixth one is about the power dissipation of the ICL7129A which would be 1000mW for CERDIP package and would be 800mW for plastic package and 700mW for plastic chip carrier (quad) package. The seventh one is about its operating temperature range which would be from 0°C to +70°C. The eighth one is about its storage temperature range of the ICL7129A which would be from -65°C to +160°C.
