The HS-600 is designed as one kind of ECL crystal clock oscillator which provide MECL 10k, 10kH and 100k series compatible signals in industry standard four-pin DIP hermetic packages. System designers may now specify space-saving, cost-effctive packaged ECL oscillators to meet their timing requirements.
HS-600 has seven features. (1)Wide frequency range 30MHz to 100MHz. (2)User specified tolerance, from +/-0.005%. (3)Case at electrical ground. (4)MECL 10k, 10kH and 100k series compatible output on pin 8, complement on pin 1, or both. (5)Space-saving alternative to discrete component oscillators. (6)All metal, resistance weld, hermetically sealed package. (7)High shock resistance to 300G's. Those are all the main features.
Some important general characteristics of HS-600 are concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its supply voltage would be min -5% and max +5% at supply 5.2V and it would be min +0.5V and max -8.0V at breakdown. (2)Its supply current would be max 80mA. (3)Its output current would be max 60mA. (4)Its operating temperature range would be from 0°C to 75°C. (5)Its storage temperature range would be -55°C to +125°C.
Also some output characteristics of HS-600 are concluded as follow. (1)Its frequency would be min 30MHz and max 100MHz. (2)Its tolerance would be min +/-0.005% at 25°C. (3)Its stability would be min +/-0.01% from 0°C to 75°C. (4)Its symmetry would be min 40/60% and max 60/40% at -1.29V. (5)Its logic 0 output voltage low would be min -1.87V and max -1.625V from 0°C to 75°C. (6)Its logic 1 output voltage high would be min -1.06V and max -0.72V from 0°C to 75°C. (7)Its rise & fall time would be max 3.6ns from 0°C to 75°C. It should be noted that limits for -5.2V +/-0.01V at 25°C unless otherwise specified. And so on.
