The HEF4938B is a dual etriggerable-resettable monostable ultivibrator. Each multivibrator has n active LOW trigger/retrigger input I0), an active HIGH trigger/retrigger nput (I1), an overriding active LOW irect reset input (CD), an output (O) nd its complement (O), and two pins CTC and RCTC) for connecting the xternal timing components Ct and t. Typical pulse width variation over emperature range is ±0.2%.
The HEF4938B may be triggered by ither the positive or the negative dges of the input pulse and will roduce an accurate output pulse ith a pulse width range of 10 µsto nfinity. The duration and accuracy of he output pulse are determined by he external timing componentsCt and Rt. The output pulse width (T) s equal to Rt × Ct. The linear design of HEF4938B echniques in LOCMOS guarantee recise control of the output pulse idth. A LOW level at CD terminates he output pulse immediately. Schmitt-trigger action in the inputs akes the circuit highly tolerant for lower rise and fall times.
