HEF4532B

The HEF4532B is an 8-input priority encoder with eight active HIGH priority inputs (I₀ to I₇), three active HIGH outputs (O₀ to O₂), an active HIGH enable input (E_in), an active HIGH enable output (E_out) and an active HIGH group select output (GS).

Data of HEF4532B is accepted on inputs I₀ to I₇. The binary code corresponding to the highest priority input (I₀ to I₇) which is HIGH, is generated on O₀ to O₂ if Ein is HIGH. Input I₇ is assigned the highest priority.GS is HIGH when one or more priority inputs and E_in are HIGH. Eout is HIGH when I₀ to I₇ are LOW and E_in is HIGH.E_in, when LOW, forces all outputs (O₀ to O₂, GS, E_out) LOW.
