The HEDS-65xx / HEDL-65xxprovide motion detection to avery high resolution and accept avariety of shaft sizes up to amaximum of 5/8 inches.

Description

The HEDS-65xx/HEDL-65xx are high performance two and threechannel optical incrementalencoders. These HEDS-65xx/HEDL-65xx encoders emphasizehigh reliability, high resolution,and easy assembly. Each encodercontains a lensed LED source(emitter), an integrated circuit withdetectors and output circuitry, and acodewheel which rotates betweenthe emitter and detector integratedcircuit. The outputs of the HEDS-6500 are two single ended squarewaves in quadrature. The HEDL-65xx outputs are differential.
The HEDS-65xx/HEDL-65xx alsohave a third channel index output inoutputs. This index is an activehigh pulse that occurs once everyfull rotation of the codewheel.Resolutions up to 1024 Counts PerRevolution are available in the two and three channel versions.
The HEDS-65xx/HEDL-65xx line driver option offersenhanced performance when theencoder is used in noisy environments,or when it is required todrive long distances.
