HD74LS156 circuit features dual 1-line-to-4-line demultiplexer with individual strobles and common binary-address inputs.When both sections are enabled by the strobes,the common binary-address inputs sequentially select and route associated input data to the appropriate output of each section.The individual strobes permit activating or inhibiting each of the 4-bit sections as desired.Data applied to input 1C is inverted through its outputs.The HD74LS156 inverter following the 1C data input permits use as a 3-to-8-line decoder or 1-to-8-line demultiplexer with-out external gating.

The absolute maximum ratings of the HD74LS156 can be summarized as:(1)input voltage:2.0V(Vih);0.8V(Vil); (2)output current:100A; (3)output voltage:0.4V(Iol=4mA);0.5V(Iol=8mA); (4)supply current:10mA; (5)input clamp voltage:-1.5V.
