This HD74LS145 BCD-to-decimal decoder/driver consist of eight inverters and ten four-input NAND gates. The inverters are connected in pairs to make BCD input data available for decoding by the NAND gates. Full decoding of valid BCD input logic ensures that all outputs remain off for all invalid binary input conditions. This decoder features high-performance,n-p-n output transistors designed as use as indicator/relay drivers or as open-collector logic-circuit drivers.

There are some electrical characteristics about HD74LS145when Ta is -20 to 75. Input voltage(Vih) is 2.0 V min. and (VIL) is 0.8 V max. off-state output current is 250 uA max when Vcc is 4.75 V , Vih is 2 V,Vil is 0.8 V and Von(off) is 15 V. On-state output voltage is 0.4 V when Vcc is 4.75 V , Vh is 2 V , VIL is 0.8 V and IOL is 12 mA. Input current(IIH) is 20 u Amax when Vcc is 5.25 V and Vi is 2.7 V. Supply current(Icc) is 7 m atyp and 13 mA max when Vcc is 5.25 V. Input clamp voltage is -1.5 V max when Vcc is 4,75 V and I is -18 mA.
