Description

The FOD420, FOD4208, FOD4216 and FOD4218devices consist of an infrared emitting diode coupled to ahybrid random phase triac formed with two inverseparallel SCRs which form the triac function capable ofdriving discrete triacs. The FOD4216 and FOD4218utilize a high efficiency infrared emitting diode whichoffers an improved trigger sensitivity. These devices arehoused in a standard 6-pin dual in-line (DIP) package.
