The FH14W is designed as fluorescent lamps which has the highest luminous efficacy of any fluorescent lamp and offer therefore the maximum efficiency.
FH14W has six features. The first one is it would have higher luminaire efficiency thanks to less shading and a slimmer lamp. The next one is it would have much smaller luminaire dimensions thanks to smaller lamp diameter. The next one is it would have 5 cm shorter lamp for luminaire lengths, therefore compatible with standard ceiling modules. The next one is it would have higher optimum temperature for luminous flux (raised from 25°C to 35°C) for more lumens in the luminaire. The next one is it would have longer service life thanks to minimal loss of luminous flux from the improved LUMILUX PLUS phosphor. The next one is it would have gentle energy-saving operation thanks to the cut-off ECG, with disconnection of the filament heating as soon as the operating temperature is reached.
Also with the FH system from OSRAM, luminaire designers can go in either of two directions FH14W. The first one is it would have max. efficiency within outer dimensions designed for T8/26 mm lamps. The next one is it would have minimum luminaire dimensions, with the same output as T8 luminaires but up to 50% smaller.
Some important specifications of FH14W have been concluded into several points as follow. The first one is about its wattage which would be 14W. The next one is about its rated luminous flus (25°C) which would be 1200 lm. The next one is about its max luminous flux (35°C) which would be 1350 lm. The next one is about its colour rendering index which would be 85. The next one is about its lamp length l which would be 550 mm. The next one is about its lamp base which would be G5. And so on.
