FAN8303

The FAN8303 is a monolithic, non-synchronous, stepdown(buck) regulator with internal power MOSFETs. Itachieves 2A continuous output current over a wide inputsupply range with excellent load and line regulation.Current-mode operation provides fast transientresponse and eases loop stabilization. Fault conditionprotection includes cycle-by-cycle current limiting andthermal shutdown. The regulator draws less than 40?Ashutdown current. FAN8303 requires a minimumnumber of readily available standard external components.

External compensation, enable, and programmablesoft-start features allow design optimization andflexibility. Cycle-by-cycle current limit, frequencyfoldback, and thermal shutdown provide protectionagainst shorted outputs.
