Description

EUM6283 is a single-phase full wave DC fan motor driver. It is intended to be used as an interface between a HALL IC and a single coil brushless motor. With its BTL linear control output, EUM6283 can drive fan motor efficiently and silently. The functions built in EUM6283 are linear control drive mode, fan tachometer, lock detection, automatic restart, Hall Bias and thermal shut-down. Linear control mode drives the output signal gentle when the amplitude of HALL signal is small. Oppositely, the output signal will be steep when HALL signal is big. This makes EUM6283 suitable for the electronics equipment which required reliability and low noise. If the motor is stalled by external force, overdrive current may incur coil overheat or burning. To prevent this, lock detection circuit will shut down the driver and automatic restart circuit will try to power up the driver every few second. RD is pulled down unless motor is stalled. FG is Fan tachometer and HB offers Hall Bias.
