This E910.87 chip is designed for automotive application or general purpose motor drive application with supply voltages up to 27V. The E910.87 can control a PMS motor by controlling the power FETs of three half bridges. This chip generates the control signals for the power FETs internally.
For communication with a higher-level assembly a LIN interface is implemented. The E910.87 motor position detection of the BLDC motor is performed by observing the back EMF voltage of the motor or by Hall sensor signals. The programming of the device is executed via an JATG interface. A sophisticated protection system prevents the external MOSFETs from damage.
