Description

The E909.01 IC is an optical switch based on the HALIOS (High Ambient Light Independent Optical System) principle, which is very effective in suppressing ambient light and has inherent self calibrating properties to eliminate disturbances caused by housing reflections and scratches.

The device E909.01 is capable of indicating objects entering the detection area of the sensor. Furthermore switching is recognized when an object touches the surface of the sensor. Both functions are available with the static output signals PROX and TOUCH.

Additionally E909.01 is possible to detect the movement of objects in the detection area. The sensor signal represents a change in reflectivity of the detected obejct (e.g. finger, changing the distance to the sensor) and can be read out via an SPI.
