DS2506S

The DS2506S is designed as 64k bits add-only memory identifies and stores relevant information about the product to which it is associated.

DS2506S has many features. (1)65536bits electrically programmable read only memory (EPROM) communicates with the economy of one signal plus ground. (2)Unique, factorylasered and tested 64bit registration number (8bit family code+48bit serial number+8bit CRC tester) assures absolute traceability because no two parts are alike. (3)Builtin multidrop controller ensures compatibility with other MicroLANTM products. (4)EPROM partitioned into two hundred fifty six 256bit pages for randomly accessing packetized data records. (5)Each memory page can be permanently write-protected to prevent tampering. (6)Device is an "add only" memory where additional data can be programmed into EPROM without disturbing existing data. (7)Architecture allows software to patch data by superseding an old page in favor of a newly programmed page. (8)Reduces control, address, data, power, and programming signals to a single data pin. (9)Directly connects to a single port pin of a microprocessor and communicates at up to 16.3kbits per second. And so on.

Some absolute maximum ratings of DS2506S have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its voltage on any pin relative to ground would be from -0.5V to +12.0V. (2)Its operating temperature would be from -40°C to +85°C. (3)Its storage temperature would be from -55°C to +125°C. (4)Its soldering temperature would be 260°C for 10seconds. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.

Also some DC electrical characteristics of DS2506S are concluded as follow. (1)Its logic 1 would be min 2.2V. (2)Its logic 0 would be min -0.3V and max 0.8V. (3)Its output logic low at 4mA would be max 0.4V. (4)Its output logic high would be typ Vpup and max 6.0V. (5)Its input load current would be typ 5uA. (6)Its operating charge would be max 30nC.
