DS1708T

The DS1708T is designed as one kind of 3.3 or 5.0 Volt MicroMonitor which monitors three vital conditions for a microprocessor:power supply, voltage sense, and external override. This device detects outoftolerance power supply conditions and warns a processorbased system of impending power failure and provides an input pin for direct
connection to a pushbutton reset.

Features of the DS1708T are:(1)industrial temperature range -40°C to +85°C;(2)8pin DIP, 8pin SOIC and 8pin mSOP packages available;(3)20% tolerance compatible with 3.0 volt systems;(4)eliminates the need for discrete components;(5)accurate 5%, 10% or 20% resets for 3.3 systems and 5% or 10% resets for 5.0 volt systems;(6)monitors pushbutton for external override;(7)automatically restarts microprocessor after power failure;(8)holds micro-processor in check during power transients.

The absolute maximum ratings of the DS1708T can be summarized as:(1)voltage on Vcc pin relative to ground:-0.5V to +7.0V;(2)voltage on I/O relative to ground:-0.5V to Vcc+0.5V;(3)operating temperature:-40°C to +85°C;(4)storage temperature:-55°C to +125°C;(5)soldering temperature:260°C for 10 seconds.
