DS138608-120 has eight features. (1)8 or 32 kbytes of user NV RAM. (2)Integrated NV SRAM, real time clock, crystal, power-fail control circuit and lithium energy source. (3)Totally nonvolatile with over 10 years of operation in the absence of power. (4)Watchdog timer restarts an out-of-control processor. (5)Alarm function schedules real-time related activities such as system wakeup. (6)Programmable interrupts and square wave output. (7)All registers are individually addressable via the address and data bus. (8)Interrupt signals are active in power-down mode. Those are all the main features.
