The DS1244YP-100 is designed as 256K NV SRAM with phantom clock is a fully static nonvolatile RAM (organized as 32K words by 8 bits) with a builtin real time clock. It has a selfcontained lithium energy source and control circuitry which constantly monitors Vcc for an outoftolerance condition.
DS1244YP-100 has eleven features. (1)Real time clock keeps track of hundredths of seconds, minutes, hours, days, date of the month, months, and years. (2)32Kx8 NV SRAM directly replaces volatile static RAM or EEPROM. (3)Embedded lithium energy cell maintains calendar operation and retains RAM data. (4)Watch function is transparent to RAM operation. (5)Month and year determine the number of days in each month; valid up to 2100. (6)Full 10% operating range. (7)Operating temperature range 0°C to 70°C. (8)Over 10 years of data retention in the absence of power. (9)Lithium energy source is electrically disconnected to retain freshness until power is applied for the first time. (10)DIP module only which means standard 28pin JEDEC pinout. (11)PowerCap module board only which means surface mountable package for direct connection to PowerCap containing battery and crystal and replaceable battery (PowerCap) and pin for pin compatible with DS1248P and DS1251P. (2)Its operating temperature range would be from 0°C to 70°C. (3)Its storage temperature range would be from -40°C to +70°C. (4)Its soldering temperature would be 260°C for 10 seconds. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
