The DM74150N is designed as one kind of data selectors/multiplexers which contains full on-chip decoding to select the desired data source. DM74150N has a strobe input which must be at a low logic level to enable these devices. A high level at the strobe forces the W output high and the Y output (as applicable) low.
DM74150N has seven features. (1)It selects one-of-sixteen data lines. (2)Performs parallel-to-serial conversion. (3)Permits multiplexing from N lines to one line. (4)Also for use as Boolean function generator. (5)Typical average propagation delay time, data input to W output 11ns. (6)Typical power dissipation 200mW. Some absolute maximum ratings of DM74150N have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its supply voltage would be 7V. (2)Its input voltage would be 5.5V. (3)Its operating free-air temperature range would be from 0°C to 70°C. (4)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
