The DAC811JP is designed as a complete, single-chip integratedcircuit, microprocessor-compatible, 12-bit digital-toanalog converter. The chip combines a precision voltage reference, microcomputer interface logic, and double-buffered latch, in a 12-bit D/A converter with a voltage output amplifier.
DAC813 has seven features. (1)Single integrated circuit chip. (2)Microcomputer interface: double-buffered latch. (3)Voltage output +/-10V, +/-5V and +10V. (4)Monotonicity guaranteed over temperature. (5)+/-1/2LSB maimum nonlinearity over temperature. (6)Guaranteed specifications at +/-12V and +/-15V supplies. (7)TTL/5V CMOS-compatible logic inputs. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of DAC813 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its Its +Vcc would be from 0 to 18V. (2)Its -Vcc to ACOM would be from 0 to -18V. (3)Its Vdd to DCOM would be from 0 to +7V. (4)Its Vdd to ACOM would be +/-7V. (5)Its ACOM to DCOM would be +/-7V. (6)Its digital inputs (pins 2-14, 16-19) to DCOM would be from -0.4V to +18V. (7)Its external voltage applied to 10V range resistor would be +/-12V. (8)Its external voltage applied to DAC output would be from -5V to +5V. (9)Its power dissipation would be 1000mW. (10)Its lead temperature would be +300°C. (11)Its max junction temperature would be +165°C. (12)Its thermal resistance would be 100°C/W. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
Also some electrical characteristics of DAC813 are concluded as follow. (1)Its resolution would be max 12 bits. (2)Its codes would be typ USB, BOB. (3)Its analog output voltage range would be typ 0 to +10V for unipolar and would be typ +/-5V, +/-10V for bipolar. (4)Its output curent would be min +/-5mA. (5)Its output impedance at DC would be typ 0.2 ohms. (6)Its reference voltage range would be min +6.2V and typ +6.3V and max +6.4V. And so on.
