The DAC712PB is one member of the DAC712 series.DAC712 is a complete 16-bit resolution D/A converter with 16 bits of monotonicity over temperature.DAC712 has a precision +10V temperature compensated voltage reference,±10V output amplifier and 16-bit port bus interface. The digital interface is fast, 60ns minimum write pulse width, is double-buffered and has a CLEAR function that resets the analog output to bipolar zero.
Features of the DAC712PB are:(1)high-speed 16-bit parallel double-buffered interface;(2)13-,14-,and 15-bit linearity grades;(3)16-bit monotonic over temperature(L grade);(4)power dissipation:600mW max;(5)gain and offset adjust:convenient for auto-cal D/A converters;(6)28-lead dip and soic packages.Electrostatic discharge can cause damage ranging from performance degradation to complete device failure.Burr-Brown corporation recommends that all integrated circuits be handled and stored using appropriate ESD protection methods.DAC712 is a monolithic integrated-circuit 16-bit D/A converter complete with 16-bit D/A switches and ladder network, voltage reference, output amplifier and microprocessor bus interface.
The absolute maximum ratings of the DAC712PB can be summarized as:(1)digital inputs to common:-1 V to +Vcc -0.7V;(2)power dissipation:750 mW;(3)lead temperature (soldering, 10sec):+300°C;(4)storage temperature range:-65 to +150°C.Stresses above those listed under "Absolute Maximum Ratings" may cause permanent damage to the device. Exposure to absolute maximum conditions for extended periods may affect device reliability.ESD damage can range from subtle performance degradation to complete device failure. Precision integrated circuits may be more susceptible to damage because very small parametric changes could cause the device not to meet published specifications. The information provided herein is believed to be reliable; however, BURR-BROWN assumes no responsibility for inaccuracies or omissions.
