The CS5529-AS is designed as a 16-bit low power programmable anolog to digital converter (ADC) which includes coarse/fine charge buffers, a fourth order modulator, a calibration microcontroller, a digital filter with programmable decimation rates, a 6-bit output latch, and a three-wire serial interface. The ADC is designed to operate from single or dual analog supplies and a single digital supply.
CS5529-AS has eight features. (1)Delta-sigma analog to digital converter with linearity error 0.0015%FS and noise free resolution 16-bits. (2)2.5V bipolar/unipolar buffered input range. (3)6-bit output latch. (4)Eight digital filters with selectable output word rates and output settles in one conversion cycle and 50/60Hz +/-3Hz simultaneous rejection. (5)Simple three-wire serial interface which is SPI and microwire compatible and schmitt trigger on serial clock (SCLK). (6)System/self-calibration with R/W registers. (7)Power supply configurations which would be VA+=+5V, VA-=0V, VD+=+3V to +5V and VA+=2.5V, VA-=-2.5V, VD+=+3V to +5V. (8)Low power consumption 2.5mW. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings CS5529-AS have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its DC power supplies would be min -0.3V and max +6.0V for positive digital and it would be min -0.3V and max +6.0V for positive analog and it would be min -6.0V and max +0.3V for negative analog. (2)Its input current any pin except supplies would be max +/-10mA. (3)Its output current would be max +/-25mA. (4)Its power dissipation would be max 8mW. (5)Its analog input voltage would be min (VA-)-0.3V to (VA+)+0.3V. (6)Its digital input voltage would be min -0.3V and max (VD+)+0.3V. (7)Its ambient operating temperature range would be from -40°C to 85°C. (8)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C.
