The CD54AC is designed as avvanced CMOS logic ICs which represents the second generation of high speed CMOS logic. These devices match fairchild's bipolar FAST devices in speed, performance and logic/type output drive, bu at CMOS power levels.
CD54AC has many features. The first one is lower power dissipation. The second one is balanced propagation delay. The third one is superior input characteristics: larger noise immunity and noise margin input switching voltage stability with temperature variation. The fourth one is lower input current. The fifth one of CD54AC is improved output source current with better balance. The sixth one is wider operating supply voltage range. The seventh one is wider commercial product operating temperature range. The eighth one is lower 3-state output leakage (high Z mode). The ninth one is improved reliability in general and particular in sorface-mount (small-outline) packages. The tenth one of CD54AC is rail to rail output voltage swing. That are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points as follow. The first one is about its DC supply voltage which would be from -0.5V to 6V. The second one is about its DC input diode current which would be ±20mA. The third one is about CD54AC's DC output diode current which would be ±50mA. The fourth one is about its DC output source or sink current per output pin which would be ±50mA. The fifth one is about its DC Vcc or ground current which would be ±100mA. The sixth one is about its power dissipation per package which would be 50mW for Ta= -55°C to +100°C (package type E) and 400mW for Ta= -55°C to +70°C (package type M). The seventh one is about CD54AC's operating temperature range which would be from -55°C to +125°C. The eighth one is about its storage temperature range which would be from -65°C to +150°C. The ninth one is about its lead temperature (during soldering) which would be +265°C. And so on. For more information please contact us.
