The BZG04-8V2 is designed as transient voltage suppressor diode. DO-214AC surface mountable package with glass passivated chip. The well-defined void-free case is of a transfer-moulded thermo-setting plastic.
BZG04-8V2 has seven features. The first one is glass passivated. The second one is it would have high maximum operating temperature. The third one is it would have low leakage current. The fourth one is excellent stability. The fifth one is UL 94V-O classified plastic package. The sixth one is transient suppressor stand-off voltage range from 8.2 to 220V for 32 types. The seventh one is shipped in 12 mm embossed tape. That are all the main features.
Some limiting values have been concluded into several points of BZG04-8V2 as follow. The first one is about its non-repetitive peak reverse power dissipation which would be max 300W. The second one is about its storage temperature which would be from -65 to +175°C. The third one is about its junction temperature which would be from -65 to +175°C. The fourth one is about its forward voltage which would be max 1.2V. It should be noted that limiting values given are in accordance with the absolute maximum rating system (IEC 60134). Stress above one or more of the limiting values may cause permanent damage to the device.
