BYV42E can withstand reverse voltage transients and have guaranteed reverse surge diodes conducting)and ESD capability. BYV42E are intended for use in switched mode power supplies and high frequency circuits in general where low conduction and switching losses are essential.
There are some limiting values of BYV42E.Peak repetitive reverse voltage(VRRM) is - 100 V min, -150 V typ and -200 V max.Crest working reverse voltage(VRWM) is 100 V min, 150 V typ and 200 V max.Continuous reverse voltage(VR,Tmb is lower than 108°C) is 100 V min, 150 V typ and 200 V max.Average rectified output current(IO(AV),square wave; = 0.5) is 30 A max.No-Repetitive peak forward current per diode(IFSM, t = 10 ms) is 150 A max.Storage temperature(Tstg) is -40°C min and 150°C max.Operating junction temperature(Tj) is 150 °C max.
