The AT45DB011B-SU is one member of the AT45DB011B series. The AT45DB011B is a 2.7-volt only, serial interface Flash memory ideally suited for a wide variety of digital voice-, image-, program code- and data-storage applications. Its 1,081,344 bits of memory are organized as 512 pages of 264 bytes each. In addition to the main memory, the AT45DB011B also contains one SRAM data buffer of 264 bytes. The buffer AT45DB011B-SU allows receiving of data while a page in the main memory is being reprogrammed. EEPROM emulation (bit or byte alterability) is easily handled with a self-contained three step Read-Modify-Write operation.
Features of the AT45DB011B-SU are:(1)single 2.7V - 3.6V supply; (2)serial peripheral interface (SPI) compatible; (3)20 MHz Max clock frequency; (4)supports page and block erase operations; (5)one 264-byte SRAM data buffer; (6)fast page program time 7 ms typical; (7)120 s typical page to buffer transfer time; (8)hardware data protection feature; (9)100% compatible with AT45DB011; (10)commercial and industrial temperature ranges; (11)green (Pb/halide-free) packaging options.Unlike conventional Flash memories that are accessed randomly with multiple address lines and a parallel interface, the DataFlash uses a SPI serial interface to sequentially access AT45DB011B-SU data. SPI mode 0 and mode 3 are supported. The simple serial interface facilitates hardware.
The absolute maximum ratings of the AT45DB011B-SU can be summarized as:(1)all output voltages with respect to ground:-0.6 to Vcc+0.6V;(2)all input voltages (including NC pins) with respect to ground:-0.6 to 6.25V;(3)temperature under bias:-55 to 125;(4)storage temperature:-65 to 150.By supplying an initial starting address for the main memory array, the Continuous Array Read command can be utilized to sequentially read a continuous stream of data from the device by simply providing a clock signal; no additional addressing information or control signals need to be provided. The DataFlash incorporates an internal address counter that will automatically increment on every clock cycle, allowing one continuous read operation without the need of additional address sequences. To perform a continuous read, an opcode of 68H or E8H must be clocked into AT45DB011B-SU followed by 24 address bits and 32 don't care bits.
