AS603 is a low powered positive voltage regulator with ultr low noise output and very low voltage dropout.There are some features of AS603  as follows.First is ultra-low noise output LDO.The second is 1% initial accuracy at 500 mA.Then is very low quiescent current.Next is low dropout voltage (160 mA at 500 mA).The fifth is current and thermal limiting.The sixth is reverse-battery protection.The seventh is several fix output voltages 3.3 & 5.0 V.The eighth is zero off-mode current.The last one is small 8-pin SO-8.The typical applications include battery powered systems,cordless telephones,radio control systems,portable/palm top/notebook computors,portable comsumer equipment,portable instrunmentation,bar code scanners and SMPS post-regulator.
