The AN5179K is an integrated circuit for TV/VCR VIF and SIF,and improves the audio performance by using the QSS (Quasi separete sound) method and provides low power consumption with power supply of 5V.

The AN5179K has 8 features.The first one is PLL complete synchronous detection.The second one is reduction of buzz by QSS (Quasi separete sound) circuit.The third one is external AGC pin for CATV de-scramble attached.The fourth one is AFC output circuit uses another power supply Vcc2(Vcc1 to 12V).The fifth one is DC volume circuit built-in.The sixth one is video/audio mute SW built-in for external AV.The seventh one is power supply operating range Vcc1 is 5V (4.5 to 5.5 V) typ.The eighth one is 30-pin shrunk DIL-plastic package.
