Description

The AEDS-96EX is a very small, high performance, low cost optical incremental encoder module. When operated in conjunction with a codewheel/codestrip, this module detects rotary/linear position .The encoder module consists of a lensed Light Emitting Diode (LED) source and a detector IC enclosed in small C-Shaped plastic package. Due to highly collimated light source and a unique photodetector array, the module is extremely tolerant to mounting misalignment.

The two channel analog outputs and 3.3V supply input of AEDS-96EX are accessed through four leads located on 2.00mm centers for the detector and two leads located on 2.54mm center for the emitter.

The AEDS-96E0/1-R10 transmissive analog encoder caters for applications that need lower power consumption, 3.3V. AEDS-96EX  is has a maximum operating frequency of 50kHz.

AEDS-96E0/1-R10 comes in a total package size of 11.0(L) x 17.9(W) x 7.0(H)mm. AEDS-96EX  is ideal for space constrained applications, which fits into today's needs for smaller and more compact end products.
